August 2024 brought new journal exclusions from Scopus, causing concern among the scientific community. Over the past month, several journals were removed from the list due to failure to meet quality criteria and suspicions of unfair practices. Below is a list of the journals excluded in August 2024.
- EAI Endorsed Transactions on Scalable Information Systems (Scopus link - Here).
This journal, which specialized in scalable information systems, was removed from the Scopus database due to unscrupulous publishing practices and poor peer review quality that did not meet the database's standards. - International Journal of Pharmaceutical Quality Assurance (Scopus link - Here).
Pharmaceutical science has always demanded the highest levels of quality and accuracy in publications. However, an audit found this journal to be in violation of publication ethics requirements, leading to its exclusion from Scopus. - Scientific Herald of Uzhhorod University. Series Physics (Scopus link - Here).
A journal once an important platform for the physical sciences has lost its place in Scopus due to problems with its peer-review system and suspicions of violations of transparency standards. - International journal of religion (Scopus link - Here). — This journal was not listed, but was excluded from the Scopus database, and all articles from 2024 were de-indexed. The screenshot below shows the journal's exclusion.

Reasons to exclude all logs: Radar system.
The Radar system reacts to the following changes:
- A sharp increase in the number of published articles;
 - The geographical diversity of the authors is minimal;
 - Changes in the subject matter of publications compared to the goals and scope of the journal;
 - A very active surge in citations or, on the contrary, a serious decline.
