Case of our client Rovshan
Client situation
The client approached us with a request to close several criteria for obtaining a US visa EB1-A (Green Card).
After talking with him, we developed the following strategy: to close two criteria for him - contribution to the industry and judging.
The first part of the work
We organized:
- 4 publications in foreign EU publications for 2022, 2023, 2024 - to close the "Contribution to industry" criterion.
- 10 completed reviews, 10 journal reviewer certificates - to complete the "Judging" criterion.
- 3 letters of recommendation from industry leaders about the candidate's contribution. We found recommenders for the client - they were leading scientists in their field.
- Prepared a letter about the development of our publishing house and the client's personal contribution for the immigration officer.
The problem of refusal
The client submitted documents, but was refused!
We also recommended that the client arrange for citations of published articles, as this demonstrates their influence and is something that immigration officers pay particular attention to. However, he then rejected this idea.
The client submitted the documents on December 2 and was rejected on December 30 — the officers asked for proof of citation of the articles, as well as evidence that he was not just a reviewer, but one of the best reviewers. It was necessary to show that he was not just a reviewer, but the best of the best.
Officer's response:
Lack of excellent evidence
In scientific and academic fields, peer review is a standard part of the publication process. But the applicant has not provided evidence that his participation in peer review makes him stand out from others.
Judging experience does not demonstrate top professional standing. The applicant has not demonstrated that his participation as a judge of other professionals' work allows him to be considered part of a small group of specialists at the top of his field.
The applicant has provided publications but has not shown that his scientific work or contributions have been widely applied or have had a significant impact.
The decision of the Academy of Articles
The appeal deadline was January 18..
And then the Academy of Articles did the impossible!
In just 10 days we:
We generated 50 backdated citations in Google Scholar, all of which appeared on his profile.
We have prepared certificates for the best reviewer of the year, which confirm that among all the reviewers he was the most active and outstanding.
Result
The client received his green card on February 3rd and was incredibly pleased!
This case proves once again that Article Academy will do everything possible and impossible to help clients achieve their goals!
