A monograph is a scholarly publication dedicated to an in-depth study of a single topic, containing new hypotheses, concepts, or theories. It has a narrow focus, examines the problem in as much detail and comprehensiveness as possible, demonstrating the scholar's deep knowledge and ability to conduct scientific research.<\/p>

A monograph is a work of scholarly and journalistic prose presented in book form. It is a highly specialized study in a particular field, such as jurisprudence or economics. A scholarly treatise is devoted to the study of one or several topics simultaneously.<\/p>

A monograph may have one or more authors, in which case each author may cite the work in their dissertation.
