On Thursday morning, September 11, 2025, Scopus published updated indexing data for scientific journals. The Academy of Articles team immediately prepared this list so you would be the first to know about the changes and be aware of excluded journals.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

In August, eight journals were officially excluded. The reasons were questionable editorial quality and so-called outlier behavior (abnormal journal behavior, such as unnatural citation spikes, massive cross-references, excessive self-citations, or a sharp increase in the number of publications). Such deviations signal possible manipulation of metrics or violations of editorial ethics.<\/p>

\u00a0<\/p>

The August list included four positions for magazines from the Italian publisher. Edizioni Minerva Medica:<\/strong> Minerva Gastroenterology, Minerva Medica, Minerva Surgery, and Panminerva Medica. At the same time, the publisher also maintains other journals that (according to the journals themselves) are indexed in Scopus\u2014for example, Minerva Pediatrics, Minerva Respiratory Medicine, and the Journal of Neurosurgical Sciences. Therefore, before submitting a manuscript to any journal from this publisher, be sure to check the current status in the Scopus source profile.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
