There are several ways to determine the h-index.<\/p>

3 ways to find out<\/strong><\/h2>

The first method is the database of published articles in Scopus (website <\/strong>scopus.com<\/u><\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong><\/h3>

To find out the value of the indicator you need, you should do the following:<\/p>

1. Visit the website scopus.com<\/p>

2. In the upper right part of the page, select the \u201cSearch for authors\u201d button (registration is not required).<\/p>

3. Enter the desired last name and first name in the search bar. It's worth noting that in the Scopus database, you must include periods after the first and middle names.<\/p>

4.<\/strong> Find the author you need among the authors. Please note that you will be provided a list with identical last names and initials. Knowing the author's organization will make it easy to find the profile you need.<\/p>

By clicking on the scientist's last name, you will go to his profile, where the h-index is displayed.<\/p>

The second method is the database of scientific articles in Web of Science<\/strong> (webofknowledge.com<\/u><\/a>)<\/h3>

To determine the Hirsch index using this method, follow these instructions:<\/p>

1. Go to webofknowledge.com. Please note that only registered users can use the search function.<\/p>

2. In the search field, enter your last name and initials in Latin characters. Keep in mind that some letters can be written differently; for example, "\u0445" can be written as either "h" or "kh." To avoid problems with transliteration, use the Wikipedia table.<\/p>

3. Click Search.<\/p>

Important to know! The Web of Science article database will display all authors with the required last names and initials, but you won't be able to access their profiles and see their metrics like on the Scopus article site.<\/p>

4. Click the "Create Citation Report" button above the list of articles. This will display the h-index.<\/p>

The third way is to determine the indicator using Google Scholar (<\/strong>scholar.google.ru<\/u><\/strong><\/a>)<\/strong><\/h3>

If you want to find out the h-index using this database, you should:<\/p>

1. Go to scholar.google.ru.<\/p>

2. Enter your last name and initials in the search box. To create a new profile, simply register using the "My Profile" link.<\/p>

The search will help you find all the works of authors registered in the system. The names will be displayed as links; clicking on them will automatically take you to the authors' profiles. This is where the h-index is located for all time and the last five years. The website also calculates the i10-index, which shows how many of the most popular publications have been cited at least 10 times.<\/p>
