Good afternoon, dear scientists! The Academy of Articles continues our series on publications that will soon lose their indexing in Scopus. You all really enjoyed the previous article, and for the fourth time, we've analyzed publications at risk.

Several journals have already lost their indexing, as we previously reported, and our column is becoming useful for many Ukrainian scientists, helping them save both money and time.

Journals that have already lost indexing:

Review of Economics and Finance

Journal of Higher Education: Theory and Practice

Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal

REVISTA DE GESTIO SOCIAL E AMBIENTAL

Most of the journals we've written about previously are already under review in Scopus. This means their content will be re-evaluated by the CSAB (Content Selection Advisory Board), and while the review is ongoing, the articles will not be indexed. Based on our own experience, the Academy of Articles can confidently say that all of these journals will be excluded from Scopus.

List of these journals:

— International journal of Religion;

— International Journal of Intelligent Systems and Applications in Engineering;

— Environment and Social Psychology;

International Journal of Chemical and Biochemical Sciences;

This time we will look at two journals that are at risk of being removed from Scopus:

Let's start with the first edition:

Over the past few months, the journal has published approximately 500 articles of any quality, all in a single issue. 6,643 pages of text in a single issue is a huge amount.

The journal began increasing the number of articles published in 2023, raising the number from 24 to 68—an almost threefold increase. It has now published 500 articles, eight times more than last year. The Radar system cannot fail to respond to such serious violations. The cost of publication in this journal is 600$, and the publication deadline is several weeks. It's not surprising that so many people want to publish in this journal. However, as we have already written, such situations always lead to the same consequences. Additionally, we would like to point out that publications in indexed journals can publish articles quickly, but they must also have appropriate peer review and publish high-quality articles.

We estimate that this journal will be excluded from Scopus within 1-3 months.

Second journal for today:

The magazine's style is very similar to the two previous magazines we've written about: Environment and Social Psychology And Journal of Infrastructure, Policy and Development.

Since 2023, the journal has increased the number of issues per year by one, and in 2024, it has already published five issues, nearly doubling the number of articles in each. As of August 1, 2024, the journal has published over 280 articles, some of which have already been indexed. As the screenshot shows, the journal has significantly increased its publication activity already in 2023.

The cost of publication in this journal is not small - 1500$.

We predict that this publication will be excluded from the Scopus database by the end of 2024. There is a high probability that articles for 2024 will be de-indexed (removed from the database).

This time, we've once again shown you two new publications that we predict will soon be removed from the Scopus database. We've also highlighted four previously reviewed publications that are already being reviewed by Scopus and will be removed from the database. Some of the publications we've covered are still indexed, but it's only a matter of time. We'll let you know as soon as they're removed.

Thanks to our articles, Ukrainian scientists were able to save more 2 750 000 hryvnia, as they were warned in time about the magazines on the verge of exclusion.

Please share this information with your colleagues so they don't waste money during these difficult times.
