Hello, dear scientists! The Academy of Articles continues our series on publications that will soon lose their indexing in Scopus. Recently, you've been highly appreciating our materials, submitting journals for review, and expressing your gratitude, so we're pleased to release the fifth part of our series—Contenders for Removal from Scopus.
Today, many journals have lost their indexing, as we've previously reported. Our column is becoming useful for many scientists in the Republic of Kazakhstan, helping them save both money and time.
The journals we warned about have already lost indexing:
— Review of Economics and Finance
— Journal of Higher Education: Theory and Practice
— Azerbaijan Pharmaceutical and Pharmacotherapy Journal
— REVISTA DE GESTIO SOCIAL E AMBIENTAL
— International Journal of Intelligent Systems and Applications in Engineering
— International Journal of Chemical and Biochemical Sciences
We would also like to inform you about one publication that is listed as active on the Scopus website, but has already been excluded from the Scopus database - Eastern European and Central Asian Research.

This time we will look at three journals that are on the verge of being excluded from Scopus:
Scientific Herald of Uzhhorod University. Series Physics
Let's start with the first domestic edition - Scientific Herald of Uzhhorod University. Series PhysicsWe wrote a separate article about this magazine, which you can read. Here.
We would not have paid attention to this publication if not for numerous requests from authors from the Republic of Kazakhstan asking us to analyze it, since the journal has published more than 500 articles exclusively by Kazakhstani authors and in various specialties, despite the fact that the journal is dedicated only to physics.

The journal has already published over 500 articles by scientists from the Republic of Kazakhstan in various fields, not just physics. However, it is important to note that only 297 of these articles were indexed in 2024. The remaining 300 articles were not and will not be included in the Scopus database. However, with a probability of 100%, the indexed articles will be removed from the Scopus database, and the journal will be delisted.
The journal has already been identified by Scopus and is undergoing re-evaluation. We predict that the journal will be excluded from the Scopus database, and its articles will be de-indexed with a probability of 100% by the end of 2024. Below is a screenshot of the response from Scopus specialists.

Journal of Ecohumanism
The second publication on our list today is Journal of Ecohumanism.
The journal was founded in 2022 and was included in Scopus by the end of 2023. In our expert opinion, this journal was specifically created for this purpose. After being indexed in late 2024, the journal actively began inviting scholars to publish, offering second-quartile publications for $1,250. The number of issues per year also increased dramatically from two to six.

Until the third issue in 2024, the journal published high-quality, thematic articles, but with the third issue, it began actively publishing everything. In issues 3 and 4, the journal published over 400 articles on various topics unrelated to the journal.

Scopus currently indexes only 29 articles, and there's a high probability that the rest will never be indexed. But even if some of them are indexed, there's a 100% chance they'll be removed.
We estimate that the journal will be excluded from the Scopus database by the end of 2024, with all articles from 2024 removed from the database.
The Academy of Articles offers a qualitative increase in the h-index in Google Scholar, Scopus, and Web of Science across all disciplines.👉

✔️Scopus (first results) from 2 to 3 months.
✔️Web of Science (first results) from 2 - 3 months.

The Journal of Angiotherapy
And the latest publication for today is The Journal of Angiotherapy.
The journal was accepted into Scopus in 2022. Until early 2024, the journal published high-quality articles in its field, releasing 2-3 issues per year. In 2024, the journal began publishing articles on all medical topics, releasing 7 issues so far in 2024.

In 2024, the journal published more than 250 articles, of which approximately half were indexed in Scopus.

We believe the remaining portion will not be indexed. There is also a risk that articles from 2024 will be removed from the Scopus database, although not as high as for the previous two journals, it is still a possibility.
So, today we've looked at three publications that are on the verge of being excluded from Scopus. The reasons for each are the same. They all fall under the radar of the Radar system, which reacts to the following factors:
- A sharp increase in the number of published articles
- Changing geographic diversity of authors
- Changes in the subject matter of publications compared to the goals and scope of the journal
- A very active surge in citations or, on the contrary, a serious decline
This time, we've shown you three new publications that we predict will soon be excluded from Scopus. Some of the publications we've written about are still indexed, but it's only a matter of time. We'll let you know as soon as they're excluded.
Please share this information with your colleagues so that they do not waste money in vain during this difficult time.
