List of COKSNVO: Lists 1, 2, and 3

Starting in June 2025, the Directory will be officially divided into three lists, each with different requirements for journals. The number of articles you need depends on which list a publication is in.

List 1

46 magazines

Journals indexed in Scopus or Web of Science. The highest standard for publication.

We need the fewest articles possible, but there aren't enough journals, and they don't cover every field.

List 2

164 magazines

The list is based on most Kazakhstani university and regional publications.

There's a wider selection, but the lines at the newsrooms are longer.

List 3

19 magazines

New and small publications: those that have been in publication for one year or less; the requirements for the editorial board are the least stringent.

It's easier to get published in a journal, but that requires the most articles.

Why do you need to publish this?

Magazines on the List

1

an article from List 1

International journals

1

an article or review published in Web of Science with a JCR impact factor or in Scopus with a CiteScore percentile of 25+

All on demand

2

Publications on the baseline trajectory

From which list do you plan to be included in the directory?

Journals on List 1 are indexed in Scopus or Web of Science, so a single article in such a journal fulfills both the List requirement and the international publication requirement—by law, it counts as two articles on the List. This is the quickest route, but there are only 46 such journals, and some fields of study are not covered by them.

In accordance with the Rules for the Awarding of Degrees (Order No. 127 of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paragraph 6, as amended by Order No. 4 of the Ministry of Higher Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated January 6, 2025) and the Rules for the Conferral of Academic Titles (Order No. 128). The list is updated quarterly.

Official Agreement

The journal's scope, deadlines, and payment terms are set forth in writing; there are no verbal agreements.

If we fail to fulfill our obligations under the contract, we will refund the payment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can't find the answer? Message us on WhatsApp, and we'll get back to you within one business day.

What warranties do you offer?
We operate officially under a contract. The contract specifies the magazine’s focus, publication deadlines, and payment terms. If our obligations are not fulfilled, we will refund the funds.
What are the actual publication deadlines?
On average, it takes between 6 and 14 months. The COKSNVO list includes just over 140 journals, but there are significantly more authors seeking publication, so there is a waiting list almost everywhere. The turnaround time depends on the field of study, the journal’s workload, and its publication schedule—the editorial board itself influences these processes. Our goal is to provide an honest estimate of the turnaround time as early as the selection stage.
What happens if the journal rejects the paper?
This happens, and it's normal for scientific publications. We never rely on just one journal—if an article is rejected, we submit it to another relevant journal from the list.
Which plagiarism-checking systems do you use?
We check using the same systems as universities in Kazakhstan: «Antiplagiat.VUZ» and StrikePlagiarism, plus an AI check. Uniqueness: 90% or higher; AI content: 5–10%, within the requirements of the editorial boards. We’ll send you the report along with the article.
In which journals from the List do you publish? (three paragraphs, with a blank line between them)
Mostly from List 2—which includes 164 Kazakhstani journals and is the most extensive section of the List. You can really find a publication there for almost any field of study and meet the requirement within a reasonable timeframe.

List 1 consists of journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. You need half as many articles from this list because a single publication in an international journal counts as two articles on the list. However, the requirements for articles in these journals are stricter, the peer-review process takes longer, and publication is more expensive—and there are only 46 such journals in total, so for some fields, they simply do not exist.

What’s right for you depends on your field, your goals, and your deadline: sometimes it’s better to submit one article from List 1, and sometimes two from List 2. We’ll go over this during our consultation and suggest specific journals. No article is submitted to the editorial board without your approval.
Can I submit my magazine?
Yes. You can submit your manuscripts, and we will definitely review them. We will consult with you at every stage, and no article will be submitted to the journal without your final approval.
Is this appropriate for the title of associate professor or professor?
Yes, that's exactly why people come to us most often—they need a certain number of articles in journals from the list. Let us know how many publications you need and by when, and we'll put together a plan.
